We represented a Finnish development finance company in a large FAI arbitration arising out of a cross-border loan agreement.
The arbitration involved complex jurisdictional issues, where we succeeded in ensuring that a non-signatory was found to be bound by the arbitration agreement.
We further successfully represented the client in the setting aside proceedings in the District Court, which included arguments that the respondents in the arbitration were denied sufficient opportunity to present their case.
The District Court dismissed the setting aside claims in their entirety.
