We advised MB Funds, the Finnish private equity firm, on its acquisition of Kotkamills, a Finnish forest industry company specializing in laminating base papers, impregnated products, magazine papers and sawmill products, from OpenGate Capital.
The transaction involved a significant (EUR 100+ million) follow-on investment in the target by the acquirer, financed partly by a EUR 105 million high yield bond issued by the acquiring company and subsequently listed on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki.
