Mia Mokkila joins our Transactions team from Borenius, bringing 20 years of experience in public M&A, equity capital markets transactions, and listed company advisory. Mia will lead our Equity Capital Markets service area and also serve as a key contact for public M&A and our listed company clients across their diverse needs, including insider matters, disclosure requirements, and governance issues.
Toni Kalliokoski is promoted to partner in our Disputes team. Toni has exceptional expertise in complex commercial litigation, particularly damages cases and competition litigation. He also has extensive experience in regulatory disputes against both public authorities and private parties in fields such as data protection, state aid, electricity markets, pharmaceuticals, financial services and sanctions.
Mika Kärkkäinen is promoted to partner in our Employment, Benefits & Pensions team. Mika possesses deep employment law expertise and has a background from EK Confederation of Finnish Industries. In addition to his advisory work, he has substantial experience representing employers in dispute resolution, having acted as counsel in numerous precedent-setting cases, with a number of them reaching the Supreme Court of Finland and the European Court of Justice. Mika is also frequently engaged to conduct internal investigations.
