After years of subdued activity in the wake of the zero-interest rate era, the transactional real estate market in Finland is showing signs of recovery. According to KTI, the total transaction volume of the first half of 2026 amounted to some €3.5 billion, which is significantly higher than in the two previous years. Residential properties were the most traded property sector in January-June 2026, accounting for some 45% of the total volume, followed by industrial and retail properties. Foreign investment has remained strong overall, with especially Swedish investors returning to the market after the relatively attractive yields offered by Finnish assets. Are these signs of better times to come?
