Sustainability at our core
Sustainability is built into our culture and influences how we serve our clients and operate as a responsible firm. We believe in making this a reality together with our clients.
Our Sustainability program is based on a comprehensive framework providing clear guidance across three key areas: internal sustainability, advising our clients, and our role in society. We recognise that our most meaningful impact on society stems from our advisory work, grounded in our commitment to understanding the evolving landscape in which our clients operate.
We leverage our legal expertise to benefit society through long-term pro bono partnerships with WWF Finland, Finnish Hospital Clowns, Ronald McDonald House, and CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation. These partnerships allow us to support their vital missions ranging from safeguarding biodiversity and helping children to preventing global conflicts through dialogue and mediation. In 2025, we provided 1.025 hours of legal services to our pro bono partners.
Since 2022, we have been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative, operating in accordance with its universal principles on human rights, labour, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.
Sustainability Review 2025
Our 2025 Sustainability Review showcases our progress across three key areas: internal sustainability, advising our clients, and our role in society.
Building on our sustainability program first launched in 2023, the annual Sustainability Review demonstrates our progress and commitment to responsible business practices. It is a voluntary report, not a statutory disclosure.

Diversity, equity & inclusion
We want to be a progressive, inspiring working community for exceptional talent. We believe that our people thrive when they have genuine opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, psychologically safe environment where everyone feels they belong and can flourish and grow as their authentic selves. This approach connects directly to how we view diversity, equality, and inclusion.
We advance our Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan, updated every two years, and assess progress through annual gender balance reviews, pay equity analysis, and representation metrics. These measures, alongside our inclusive recruitment policies and other actions, ensure our commitments translate into meaningful change.
Our annual Great Place to Work® survey shows that our employees perceive an increasingly strong commitment to equal treatment across all demographics. In 2025, 99% of respondents felt people are treated fairly at work regardless of sexual orientation, 99% regarding gender, 98% regarding race, and 93% regarding age.

Our climate impact
By reducing our carbon footprint and fostering a culture of environmental awareness, we demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility. While the net environmental impact of a law firm is modest compared to industrial companies, we believe our sustainable practices acreate meaningful long-term impact.
Since 2014, we’ve been actively reducing our environmental footprint through the WWF Green Office program, which helps us set targets, measure results, and continuously improve our environmental performance. Our Green Office team meets regularly to discuss strategies to reduce our environmental impact, including tracking our consumption habits and gathering data on recycling, commuting, and environmental awareness.
Each year, we calculate our carbon footprint through the WWF Green office program. In 2025, most emissions came from business travel (77%) and energy consumption (19%). For detailed information on our carbon footprint calculations and environmental initiatives, please see our latest Sustainability Review.
