Dittmar & Indrenius > Insight > Gabrielle Dannberg Appointed Managing Partner

Gabrielle Dannberg has been appointed Dittmar & Indrenius’ Managing Partner as of 1 January 2023. Anders Carlberg, who has led the firm for eight years, will now focus on client advisory work and take on the role as Senior Partner and Chair of the Board.

“I am very excited, happy and humble to be taking on this new role. Our vision is to be the obvious choice for demanding corporate clients, and a progressive and inspirational community for star individuals. We have a strong culture built on teamwork, and only through close collaboration with our clients can we create value and make an impact. Working life is changing, and I feel privileged to be taking on a role in which I can work together with our clients and my colleagues to find new innovative ways of working smarter,” says Gabrielle.

“It has been an honour to lead this firm for the last eight years. During a period of significant growth, we have succeeded in strengthening our culture and core values despite years of working under special circumstances. Today, I couldn’t be happier that it is Gabrielle who is taking the lead in accelerating D&I’s growth journey as the new Managing Partner. She is a respected practitioner within Corporate and M&A, and a trusted advisor for many of our clients. Throughout her career at D&I, she has always put our clients first and shown great interest in developing our firm. She is an inspirational leader and a highly respected colleague among all of us at D&I. She is the right person to take the firm to the next level,” says Anders.

Sustainability

Sustainability and ESG have become a top priority for businesses, as the general awareness on these topics is growing, stakeholder demands are high, and the EU is preparing multiple legislative initiatives in this area. Sustainability is finding its way into the core business strategies of companies and the agendas of the top management and boards of directors. Also, law firms have multiple roles to play in this development, both in advising clients on ESG questions across all legal areas and in developing and executing our own ESG programmes.

Uniting Strategy and Sustainability: A New Wave of Collaboration

In order to meet the requirements of the rapidly changing business environment and increasing cross-border regulation relating to sustainability, a new level of strategic sustainability and collaboration is needed. To address this shifting paradigm, D&I is launching a new kind of collaboration with creative consultancy Miltton to support our clients both in managing strategic sustainability and in understanding the growing regulation, integrating it into operating methods and translating it into business goals.

The Power of Diversity and Attorney Wellbeing

I stepped out of the elevator in The Spiral, a 66-floor skyscraper overlooking the Hudson River, and my eyes were immediately drawn to the panoramic view of the midtown skyline in New York City. Pretending to look calm and composed, I was in fact surfing some waves of nostalgia. It was two decades since my LL.M year at NYU, filled with dreams of a big career in Big Law. Back then, entering a shiny and beautiful law firm lobby like this would have meant an awesome opportunity.
