We act as Finnish counsel to Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance and Stellantis on their acquisition of ALD’s and LeasePlan’s operations in six European countries.
Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, together with its partner Stellantis, have agreed to acquire LeasePlan’s operations in Finland, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg as well as ALD’s operations in Ireland, Norway and Portugal, representing a total fleet of more than 100,000 vehicles and total leasing assets of approximately EUR 1.7 billion.
The disposals constitute part of the commitments made by ALD to the European Commission in connection with ALD’s proposed acquisition of LeasePlan announced in January 2022. Completion of the acquisition by Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance and Stellantis is subject to customary conditions, including the completion of ALD’s acquisition of LeasePlan, and is expected to take place during 2023.
