We advised Parmaco, a leading provider of premium quality modular buildings in the Nordics, on the acquisition of FixCel, an innovative Finnish modular builder specialized in advanced steel cell structures. The acquisition of FixCel strengthens Parmaco’s presence in the social infrastructure market and facilitates an entry into the healthcare segment.

Together, the companies will be the largest supplier of modular social infrastructure rental spaces in Finland. Parmaco is the leading Finnish rental school and day care provider and it designs, builds and leases fully assembled and ready-to-use high quality wooden modular buildings. FixCel has so far built over 30,000m2 of public spaces, including the largest modular building in Finland. The steel cell frame used in FixCel’s buildings enable good fire protection, clean indoor air, and unprecedented modular multistorey applications of up to 8 stories high.

In 2021, we advised Parmaco’s management on the sale of Parmaco to Partners Group. In 2018, we advised MB Funds and other sellers on the sale of Parmaco to a consortium led by Terra Firma and Metric Capital.
